1. About This Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how PegasusTrading uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and app. It tells you what cookies we set, why we set them, and how you can control them.

This policy is effective from 17 May 2026 and supplements our Privacy Policy.

2. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your browser when you visit it. They let a site remember things between page loads and between visits — for example, that you are signed in, what theme you prefer, or what choices you made on a previous screen.

Cookies are not programs and cannot read other files on your device. They simply hold short pieces of information that the website that set them can read back later.

3. Cookies We Use

Essential cookies (no consent required under PECR)

These cookies are strictly necessary to operate the site and to provide the services you have explicitly asked for. Without them, core functionality such as signing in would not work. Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), no consent is required for cookies of this kind.

  • Supabase auth session cookie — Purpose: keeps you signed in across page loads. Duration: session, with refresh token rotation. Type: essential.
  • Next.js framework cookies — Purpose: technical operation of the app (routing, security, request handling). Duration: session. Type: essential.
  • pegasus_cookie_consent— Purpose: remembers your choice on our cookie banner so we don't ask again on every visit. Duration: 12 months. Type: essential.

Non-essential cookies (consent required, only set if accepted)

We use the following non-essential services for product analytics and performance monitoring. These are only loaded after you click Accept all on the cookie banner.

  • Vercel Analytics (_vercel_analytics or similar) — Purpose: anonymous page-view counting and traffic source analysis. Duration: session/short-lived. Type: non-essential. Only set if you click Accept all.
  • Vercel Speed Insights — Purpose: performance metrics (page load times, Core Web Vitals). Duration: session. Type: non-essential. Only set if you click Accept all.

If you click Reject non-essential, neither of these will load or send any data.

4. How to Manage Cookies

  • Use the cookie banner shown on your first visit to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Your choice is remembered for future visits.
  • You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings. Major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) all expose this under privacy or site settings.
  • You can also block cookies entirely in your browser, but please note: blocking essential cookies will break the site. In particular, sign-in will not work because the auth session relies on a cookie.

5. Third-Party Cookies

When you make a payment, you are redirected to Stripe's hosted checkout page on stripe.com. Stripe sets its own cookies on that domain to operate its payment flow and to detect fraud. Those cookies are controlled by Stripe and are governed by Stripe's own cookie policy, not by PegasusTrading.

We do not set any third-party advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies on our own domain at this time.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example if we add new cookies or change how existing ones are used. When we do, the “Last Updated” date at the top of the page will be revised. Material changes will also be reflected on the cookie banner where appropriate.
